Someone wrote a quote I heard of a quiet bird in remote parts of the world
His song is the longest song for it never starts, he just strings you right along

Men travel overseas
They topple ancient trees

It’s said that with plumage spread it looks brown and red and it’s legs are aubrigine
But then others say it’s skinny with hints of tinny around its beak and feet

I’ve heard outrageous tales
Of monsters, spooks and whales
Of love and happiness
Without a shred of evidence

Hold on what’s that sound
Pooled pasts, run afoul
But it takes one to know one well
And I can tell that you’ve been apprehensive
Acting out your own defenses
How absurd
To catch a bird

Half-hardened and mostly bartered away, your heart is decaying rapidly
